Aboriginal people

Aboriginal people* are eligible for all programs offered by BC Housing, if they meet specific eligibility requirements. In addition, the programs listed below have been developed specifically for Aboriginal people.

* A disproportionate number of Aboriginal people in British Columia are homeless or in core housing need. It is for this reason that provincial housing strategy, Housing Matters BC , has identified addressing Aboriginal housing needs as one of its six key strategies.

Homeless Aboriginal people living off-reserve  in Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey, Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George, Duncan, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John
       
Aboriginal Housing Initiative Off-reserve Aboriginal housing developments Aboriginal youth, women, elders, and those who are struggling with addiction
       
Aboriginal housing providers Off-reserve Aboriginal housing Households and individuals with Aboriginal ancestry, including status and non-status Indians, Métis and Inuit
