Campbell River

In October 2008, the Province of British Columbia and the City of Campbell River approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to build up to 54 new supportive housing units on two sites for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including:

  • 1040 Dogwood Street (Operator: Campbell River and North Island Transition Society) - Provide a combination of up to 30 self-contained one- and two-bedroom units for homeless women and their children
  • 280 Nikola Road (Operator: Campbell River and District Association for Community Living - Provide up to 24 units of permanent affordable housing with support services for adults with developmental disabilities
