Financing Housing Solutions

The provincial government, through BC Housing, works in partnership with the federal government, municipalities and local non-profit providers to develop innovate housing solutions and support local communities in addressing housing need. Check out the following programs to find out more:
  • Community Partnership Initiatives  - Providing mortgage financing for housing solutions, without the need for ongoing operating subsidies.
  • Housing Endowment Fund  - This $250 million Fund was established in 2007 to encourage new ideas and support innovative housing solutions for British Columbians most in need. More than 40 innovative housing proposals received more than $25 million to develop nearly 400 affordable housing units and other unique projects. The Fund has been successful since its inception and is now fully subscribed. To see a list of projects funded through the Housing Endowment Fund,  click here.
