Income requirements
To be eligible for subsidized housing, the
applicant’s gross household income must be below
certain income limits. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
(CMHC) is the federal government housing agency that sets income
limits for subsidized housing each year. The income limits vary,
depending on the community and number of bedrooms in the unit.
Exceptions:
Senior's
Rental Housing units
and
low
end of market units.
Housing Income Limits (HILs) for major centres in
British Columbia.
