Brenda Eaton

Brenda Eaton is chair of BC Housing Management Commission, which develops, manages and administers subsidized housing in B.C., serving 75,000 households.

Prior to this appointment, Eaton held a variety of senior positions in the B.C. Public Service, most recently as Deputy Minister to Premier Gordon Campbell and prior to that as Deputy Minister in Finance and Treasury Board; Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources; and Social Services. For four years she was CFO and VP of Operations at Capital Health Region.

Eaton is currently on the Boards of BC Hydro, Canada West Foundation, and Phillips, Hager and North Centre for Financial Research. She has also served on a variety of other Boards including the International Financial Centre, International Maritime Centre, B.C. Real Estate Foundation, Healthcare Benefits Trust and the Municipal Pension Advisory Board.

Eaton has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Economics. She has been awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and has three times been named in the 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.
