The Province of British Columbia wants to make sure people most in need have access to safe, affordable housing with the necessary support services to help break the cycle of homelessness.

Providing access to safe, affordable housing is only the first step. We need to connect people to the support services they need, helping them leave the streets and transition into places of change.

Through the provincial housing strategy, Housing Matters BC,  the Province is engaging local municipalities and community organizations to create innovative solutions. It starts with outreach services to people on the street where we can address the immediate need, and building more supportive housing for the future.
