Join a passionate team & drive various key facets of major projects

Vancouver, BC

Capital Asset Management is made up of a dynamic team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their active participation in capital improvements to the agency’s real estate portfolio. Working on existing stock—often involving building envelopes—they undertake upgrades to enhance properties and lessen our environmental impact. They also subcontract to school boards on their building envelope upgrades.

Functioning much like a Project Manager, you will take ownership of a project (mainly involving building envelopes) and many of its aspects from start to finish. Expect involvement in project scoping / budgeting / facilitation and communication, liaison with development owners, directing architects and engineers, etc.

The scope and budget for these projects are sizable and you will exert a huge span of influence—and derive an equal amount of job satisfaction. You love rolling up your sleeves and interacting with a variety of stakeholders.

You are a technologist with sufficient education to qualify as an Applied Science Technologist. Along with at least 2 years in contract administration (including extensive exposure to industry standard construction contracts), you have significant experience with the CCDC-2 contract, Part 9 of the BC Building Code and the design/construction of multi-unit residential projects.
