PRE-QUALIFICATION OF GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICES

SEALED PROPOSALS
are invited for Request for Proposal #1080-0910/26
BC Housing Management Commission is conducting this Pre-qualification Competitive Process in an attempt to identify General Contractors that will compete for future contracts originating from BC Housing for facilities located across the Lower Mainland. BC Housing will review proposal submissions pre-qualifying suppliers with an existing operation that can provide or be modified to provide General Contractor Services for jobs valued at under $100K.
The purpose of this RFP is to conduct a formal competitive process that will evaluate each supplier's proposed approach, pricing and other elements required for inclusion onto a Pre-Qualified General Contractors List. BC Housing will make their selection for General Contractor Services for Maintenance and/or Repair type work for their developments in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions from this list.
The pre-qualification process will include an assessment of previous and current performances in a number of areas including but not limited to: similar work done, scheduling, construction workmanship, meeting completion timelines, correction of deficiencies and Health & Safety. These services shall comply with scopes of work that range from minor repairs/small scale renovations to large construction projects.
Sub-contractors interested in providing services to the General Contractors will have to submit their information to the General Contractors whose names will be posted on the BC Housing web site as suppliers who have picked up a tender package and are going to submit a tender package.
Proposal Documents will be available for download from the website addresses indicated below and interested contractors will be required to submit a completed Form A: Receipt Confirmation Form no later than Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
Proposals will be received at BC Housing – Home Office at Suite 1701 – 4555 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5H 4V8, only up until 2:00 p.m. (local time), Monday, February 22, 2010 and publicly opened at that time.
A mandatory Information Meeting will be held for bidders on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at 1375 East 47th Avenue, Vancouver, BC.
Please direct all inquiries in writing to Supply Chain & Contract Services at purchasing@bchousing.org no later than Thursday, February 11, 2010.
