CONSTRUCTION MANAGMENT SERVICES

SEALED PROPOSALS
are invited for Request for Proposal #1070-0910/531
BC Housing is issuing this request for proposals for a Construction Manager for the Wesley Street site in downtown Nanaimo. It is contemplated that following a period of providing construction management services the construction manager will convert to the role of head contractor under a CCDC head contract.
The Construction Manager will be asked to bring his own design team including an Architect and be expected to engage and pay for all sub-consultants. The construction manager will also be responsible for all inspections and work relating to the delivery, installation, site works, and finishing to, complete the housing developments.
There are three adjacent lots with a combined area of approximately 16,290 sq. ft requiring design and construction of a supportive housing building and will include common areas and amenity spaces.
Proposal Documents will be available for download from the following websites: www.bchousing.org/contractors/bid/current or http://www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca/open.dll/welcome and additional information will only be sent to those that return a completed Receipt Confirmation Form (Appendix F) prior to the deadline shown on form .
Proposals will be received at BC Housing – Vancouver Island Office at 201 – 3440 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC V8Z 3L5, addressed to Scott Kingham, only up until 2 :00 p.m. (local time), Thursday, April 1, 2010 (Revised Date) and publicly opened at that time.
Please direct all inquiries via email only to Genevieve Bucher, Senior Project Officer at gbucher@bchousing.org no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 .
