INVITATION TO TENDER

Subcontractors are invited to submit tenders for specific scopes of work relating to the construction of the new Creekside Health and Housing Centre
Tenders are requested for the following trades/scopes of work:
• Bulk Excavation
• Landscaping
• Reinforcing Steel
• Concrete Supply
• Formwork Trade
• Masonry
• Structural Steel/ Miscellaneous Metal Fabrications
• Framing
• Lumber supply/Truss Joists
• Millwork
• Metal Wall Cladding & Hardie Siding
• Roofing
• Doors & Finish Hardware
• Windows
• Storefront/Entrances
• Steel Studs and Drywall
• Floor Coverings
• Painting
• Appliances
• Commercial Kitchen Equipment
• Cabinets
• Elevators
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Fire Protection
• Electrical
A bid depository will not be in effect for this project.
It is expected that work will commence on site in October 2010, with Project Completion occurring in January 2012. Dates may change without notice.
All bidders must follow the Bidders Notes & Instruction and submit a completed CCDC 11 Contractors Qualification Statement with their tenders. These forms will be available with the tender package.
Tenders will be evaluated based on a review of the CCDC 11 with respect to current project load, construction value, company size, staff resources attributed to the project, comparison to current project type and proposed price. References may be called. Evidence of Worksafe BC Coverage must be provided. A selective sub trade bonding of 50% Performance and 50% Labour & Material Payment bonds may be considered for the project.
All tenders will close at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 8, 2010 (Revised Closing date) at the office of the Construction Manager – VanMar Constructors 1032 Inc. 9110 196A Street, Langley, BC, V1M 3B4. Fax: (604) 882-0770. E-mail: dons@vanmarconstructors.com. Faxed, e-mailed or hand delivered submissions are acceptable. No late submissions will be accepted.
There will be no notice given to individual subcontractors for addendums. It will be the responsibility of each sub-trade to check regularly for addendum postings prior to a submission.
All proponents are required to register with the Construction Manager their intent to submit a proposal and receive Tender Drawings and Specifications. Please confirm your notification by faxing the attached Bidder Registration Form to (604) 882-0770, attention Don Sweete, Project Director, on or before Thursday August 19, 2010 . After receipt of the notification, all proponents will be called for their Tender Drawings and Specifications package pick-up at VanMar’s offices.
All Tender questions must be submitted in written form and sent to: Don Sweete, Estimator, VanMar Constructors 1032 Inc. for any other enquiries must be made in written form by e-mail at dons@vanmarconstructors.com. The deadline for all questions will be 5:00 p.m. August 30, 2010. If necessary an addendum will be posted to share the questions and answers.
This ‘Invitation to Tender' in no way represents an intent to enter into a subcontract with your company. The lowest or any proposal will not necessarily be accepted.
