The Aboriginal Homeless Outreach Program will be operating in
the following communities: Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, Duncan,
Kamloops, Kelowna, Dawson Creek and Prince George. The Aboriginal
Homeless Outreach Program targets communities with a high
Aboriginal homeless population where there are identified gaps in
support services. Information from the
Comprehensive
Needs and Capacity Assessment of Aboriginal Housing in British
Columbia
was used to help determine which communities would
benefit most from Aboriginal outreach services.
Eight non-profit societies have been selected to manage and deliver
the Aboriginal Homeless Outreach Program:
