 | Premier Gordon Campbell spoke at the announcement of the expansion
of Covenant House, a shelter and resource centre for homeless
youth. The expansion will receive funding from the Housing
Endowment Fund as well as from VANOC. Minister Tom Christensen
officiated; Minister Rich Coleman and Attorney General Wally Oppal
were also on hand to represent the Province.

 | A $2-million grant from the Province’s Housing
Endowment Fund is awarded to the BC Professional Fire
Fighters’ Burn Fund Building, a development that will
provide eight units to accommodate burn survivors and their
families during treatment periods.
