The Seniors' Supportive Housing program includes the following benefits:

Inclusive support services package
The Seniors' Supportive Housing program offers tenants an inclusive support services package, including:

  • At least one main meal per day (lunch or dinner)
  • 24-hour response
  • Weekly light housekeeping
  • Once weekly laundering of towels and linens
  • Social and recreational activities
Improved safety features and enhanced accessibility
The Seniors' Supportive Housing program focuses on converting and upgrading existing seniors' housing to enhance accessibility and improve safety systems, including:

Accessibility enhancements

  • Showers instead of bathtubs (where possible)
  • Grab bars in showers and for toilets
  • Appropriate handrails in common hallways
Fire and safety

  • Enhanced lighting for exits/entrances and corridors
