Maintenance & emergencies

Emergency maintenance procedures
The Building Manager should be advised of the following emergency maintenance requests:

  • Flood as a result of sewer backup, burst water lines, stuck valve(s) or elements of nature;
  • No heat in the subsidized housing unit or the entire building;
  • No electricity in housing unit or entire building;
  • Glass breakage where damage will occur to BC Housing property or result in discomfort to the tenant;
  • Roof leaks where the tenant cannot control the situation or when further damage may occur;
  • Plugged toilet where there is no other toilet available; and
  • Lock outs.
If you cannot reach your building manager or regional office for emergency situations, notify the after hour emergency number below.

For general maintenance issues and/or repairs, complete a Maintenance Request Form. These forms are available from your local building manager.
