About the Project
A 35-unit, three-storey housing development at 810 Braidwood, Courtenay, that will provide affordable rental one-bedroom and studio units. Accompanying supports will be provided by Wachiay Friendship Centre and include a live-in caretaker.
The building has a common room, balcony, and office space. There is electric baseboard heating, a central hot water system, and an elevator. All units have a four-piece bathroom and kitchen facilities. Each unit on the main floor has a patio and the second and third floors have a common balcony.
There will be 14 parking spaces and landscaped areas. The Braidwood Apartments development is walking distance to a shopping centre and major bus routes.

The project aims to fill a significant gap in the local housing continuum and is a partnership between M’akola Housing Society and Wachiay Friendship Centre.
