New name for the Homeowner Protection Office

We've changed our name to Licensing and Consumer Services. Since joining BC Housing in April 2010, we maintained a separate identity to ensure a smooth transition. Now we've fully integrated into BC Housing and retired the HPO name and logo. It's a new name, but our services are the same. Our new integrated website is customer-service focused, easier to navigate and mobile-friendly.

  • Portals and Registries– The links to the portals and registries are updated. Users with bookmarked links to the portals and/or registries should update their links.
  • Research  Visit BC Housing's Research Centre for information on technical research and education as well as residential building statistics and trends.
  • New HPO Twitter Account – We’ve renamed our HPO twitter account to "BC Housing Registrar." Follow us @RegistrarBCH for information pertinent to builders and homeowners. It's distinct from BC Housing's corporate Twitter feed @BC_Housing.
