About the Project
The City of Kamloops, BC Housing, and ASK Wellness Society are working together to address the city’s urgent need for supportive housing and support services for individuals who are experiencing, or most at risk of experiencing, homelessness.
The plan, which is part of the Rapid Response to Homelessness Program, proposes to build up to 58 units of permanent modular housing on land owned by the City of Kamloops (317 Tranquille Road).
The proposed housing would be managed safely and responsibly by ASK Wellness Society, an experienced and professional local supportive housing provider.
Supports services would include breakfast and a hot meal each day, life-skills training, and access to primary health and mental health services. This type of housing fills a housing gap in Kamloops for people seeking to leave the shelter system or streets. It helps people to achieve and maintain housing stability.
