BC Housing's Technology Support Program is offering 23 free workshops. These will support housing providers navigate IT systems, concepts, and challenges. Register now using the schedule below.

Workshop formats & pathways

Sessions range from 60 to 90 minutes. The series features structured learning tracks, called Pathways. These pathways focus on key technology and management topics. Each Pathway includes a sequence of workshops that build on one another. This helps provide practical, in-depth learning in a clear and organized way.

First 30 Minutes:
Most organizations are constantly tested by attackers trying to break into their systems and steal data. It is essential to stop and spot these attacks, but you also need to know what to do if a breach happens. A breach is when someone gets into data or systems without permission. 

In this session, we will share tips on how to prepare for common cyber‑attacks. We will focus on what to do in the first 30 minutes after an incident starts.

How to “Meet” the IT Risk Assessment Element of an Operational Review:
IT Risk Awareness (ITRA) is a short process where you answer a 10‑question survey and upload a few supporting documents. Our team reviews the information to see if providers are using good IT practices. This includes keeping backups, using Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), and having an IT response plan. This helps providers learn the policies and find the resources that support our partners.
