The Government of British Columbia started the Rapid Response to Homelessness program in 2017. The goal of this program is to quickly build modular supportive housing for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. It focuses on helping people who are living on the street or staying in shelters.

Through this program, the Province committed $291 million to build more than 2,000 modular supportive housing units. These units include both temporary and permanent homes. The Province also provided $170 million to ensure modular supportive housing has the required for 24/7 onsite staff and support services.

All homes are completed and operational through this program.
