Christopher William Pedersen (“C. Pedersen”), contrary to section 21(2)(a) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), regarding a new home in Prince George, B.C. (the “New Home”), for which an Owner Builder Authorization had been issued, failed to provide the purchasers of the New Home with a Disclosure Notice, in a form satisfactory to the Homeowner Protection (the “HPO”) Registrar, stating among other facts, whether or not the New Home was covered by home warranty insurance. On December 5, 2016, the HPO issued Compliance Order 16-0028 to C. Pedersen directing that C. Pedersen:
- immediately obtain a Disclosure Notice from the HPO for the New Home pursuant to section 21(2)(a) of the Act.
C. Pedersen was directed to comply with Compliance Order 16-0028 by December 30, 2016. Complied.
