Exact Management Ltd. (“EML”) and Mandeep Sandhu (“Sandhu”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), conducted the business of a residential builder without a valid BC Housing (“BCH”) Residential Builder Licence between the period of, or about, April 30, 2023, and January 23, 2024, regarding a new home in Burnaby, BC (the “New Home”). On January 23, 2024, BCH issued Compliance Order 24-0002 to EML and Sandhu directing that EML and Sandhu:
- immediately cease all construction activities on the New Home; and
- provide BCH with the required documentation necessary to complete a Residential Builder Licence Application to successfully become a Licensed Residential Builder pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act.
EML and Sandhu were ordered to comply with Compliance Order 24-0002 by February 29, 2024.
