Peter Liappas (“Liappas”), contrary to section 14(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), conducted the business of a residential builder without a valid BC Housing (“BCH”) Residential Builder Licence, between the period of, or about, December 2019 and December 2021. On December 8, 2021, BCH issued Compliance Order 21-0022 to Liappas directing that Liappas:
- immediately cease carrying on the business of a residential builder as defined in the Act; and
- cease conducting the business of a Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) until such time that Liappas becomes a BCH LRB pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act.
Liappas was ordered to comply with Compliance Order 21-0022 by December 31, 2021.
