Zong Gang Guo (“Guo”), contrary to section 22(1.1)(b)(i) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), sold a new home in Richmond, B.C. (the “New Home”) on, or about, May 18, 2010, without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On March 12, 2014, Compliance Order 14-0010 was issued by the HPO to Guo directing that Guo:
- immediately apply for and become a Homeowner Protection Office Licensed Residential Builder pursuant to section 14(1) of the Act, and register the New Home for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider pursuant to section 22(1) of the Act.
Guo was directed to comply with Compliance Order 14-0010 by April 25, 2014.
