SURREY – Close to 40 new supportive homes are coming to Surrey as construction has begun on Peterson Place, providing permanent homes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The Province is opening a 45-bed emergency response centre with wraparound supports and services at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, the first site in B.C. to feature pop-up pods that provide privacy for people staying there.

Update for BC Temporary Rental Supplement Program Applicants

As of April 29, BC Housing has received more than 67,000 applications for the BC Temporary Rental Supplement Program since it opened on April 9. As applications are processed, notifications are sent to renters and landlords with updates on the status of their applications.

Province secures safe shelter, supports for people living in major encampments

VANCOUVER – The Province is working with the cities of Vancouver and Victoria to transition people living in encampments in Oppenheimer Park, Topaz Park and on Pandora Avenue into safe, temporary accommodations with wraparound supports to protect their health and safety in the overlapping COVID-19 and overdose crises.

New affordable homes proposed for downtown Vancouver

Nisg̱a’a Nation and BC Housing sign MOU for Developing Asset Management Capacity in the Nisg̱a’a Nation

New Aiyansh, B.C. – The Nisg̱a’a Nation has entered into a memorandum of understanding with BC Housing to collaborate on the development of a residential asset management framework. NLG Chief Executive Officer Collier Azak and the Chief Administrative Officers for the Nisg̱a’a Villages of New Aiyansh, Gitwinksihlkw, Lax̱g̱alts’ap and Ging̱olx each executed the MOU that is intended to build capacity in the administration of housing and develop and share best practices in residential asset management.
