Project overview
BC Housing, the District of North Vancouver and Lu’ma Native Housing Society are building 65 new homes at 1234 East Keith Road.
The 6-storey residential building will include:
- 40 studio homes with support services (supportive housing)
- 5 studio homes with enhanced health services (Complex Care Housing)
- Indoor and outdoor common areas
- Central kitchen
- Washroom and laundry facilities
- Reception area and office space for staff
Supportive housing is subsidized housing with on-site supports. Residents are single adults (19+) who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This can include seniors and people with disabilities.
All residents apply to live in supportive housing, sign program agreements and pay rent.
Typical supports include:
- 24/7 staffing
- Daily meals
- Life skills and employment training
- Access to health supports
- Connections to community and health support services
To learn more, check out our Stories from Supportive Housing playlist on YouTube. These short videos show inside several supportive housing buildings. They also share stories from residents, staff and neighbours.
In complex care housing, residents access the same services as supportive housing. In complex care housing, specialized professionals also provide enhanced health, cultural and social supports to people with more complex needs.
These support services are voluntary and tailored to residents’ needs and goals. They are available to residents in their own home, for as long as they need.
BC Housing selected Lu’ma Native Housing Society to operate this housing. Staff will manage the building and provide services to all the residents. Vancouver Coastal Health and Lu’ma will work together to provide the enhanced health, cultural and social supports.

We commit to being good neighbours. We will share any updates about this project as soon as they are available.
We will share a direct phone number for the building when it opens and address any concerns quickly and collaboratively.
