Project overview
BC Housing and the City of Vancouver are building 97 new homes at 1636 Clark Drive and 1321-1395 East 1st Avenue.
The 10-storey mixed-use apartment building will include:
- A mix of affordable rental studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom homes
- A recovery services centre in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, providing:
- Withdrawal management and sobering services
- 20 transitional beds for people who have completed treatment
- A teaching, research and learning hub
- A social enterprise program space that offers employment for residents and supports Indigenous healing and wellness
- Culturally appropriate services to support the healing needs of Indigenous community members
Affordable rental housing provides homes at lower rental rates than the private market.
It is available to people and families with low to moderate incomes who may not be eligible for subsidized housing.
BC Housing selected S.U.C.C.E.S.S Affordable Housing Society to manage this housing: successbc.ca.
We commit to being good neighbours. We will share any updates about this project as soon as they are available.
