Vancouver – East 1st Avenue and Clark Drive

Project overview

BC Housing and the City of Vancouver are building 97 new homes at 1636 Clark Drive and 1321-1395 East 1st Avenue.

The 10-storey mixed-use apartment building will include:

  • A mix of affordable rental studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom homes
  • A recovery services centre in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, providing:
    • Withdrawal management and sobering services
    • 20 transitional beds for people who have completed treatment
    • A teaching, research and learning hub
    • A social enterprise program space that offers employment for residents and supports Indigenous healing and wellness
    • Culturally appropriate services to support the healing needs of Indigenous community members
