Project overview
BC Housing and the City of Vancouver are building 72 new homes at 8302 Beatrice Street.
The 6-storey residential apartment building will include:
- 48 studio homes with support services (supportive housing)
- 24 studio homes with support services and enhanced health services (Complex Care Housing)
- Indoor and outdoor common areas
- Central kitchen and laundry facilities
- Reception area and office space for staff
- Fenced grounds and on-site parking
Supportive housing is subsidized housing with on-site supports. Residents are adults (19+) who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. This can include seniors and people with disabilities.
All residents apply to live in supportive housing, sign housing agreements and pay rent.
Typical supports include:
- 24/7 staffing
- Daily meals
- Life skills and employment training
- Access to health supports
- Connections to community services
To learn more, check out our Stories from Supportive Housing playlist(External link) on YouTube. These short videos show inside several supportive housing buildings. They also share stories from residents, staff and neighbours.
Complex care housing residents access the same services as supportive housing. In complex care housing, specialized professionals also provide enhanced health, cultural and social supports to people with more complex needs.
These support services are voluntary and tailored to residents’ needs and goals. They are available to residents in their own home, for as long as they need.
BC Housing selected The Kettle Society to operate this housing. Staff will manage the building and provide services to residents. Vancouver Coastal Health will provide the enhanced health services.

We commit to being good neighbours. We will share any updates about this project as soon as they are available.
We will share a direct phone number for the building when it opens and address any concerns quickly and collaboratively.
