VANCOUVER - People will soon have access to hundreds more affordable homes in communities they love through a partnership between the Province and Metro Vancouver.

VERNON - Indigenous individuals, families and Elders living in Vernon now have access to 35 new affordable homes with the opening of Thunderbird Manor - Phase 2.

SECHELT - Members of the shíshálh Nation are moving into new affordable homes with the opening of 34 rental units in Sechelt.

PORT MOODY - Families, seniors and Indigenous people will soon have access to more than 325 new below-market rental homes with construction underway on a development in Port Moody.

KELOWNA - People in Kelowna who are experiencing homelessness now have access to 60 new temporary homes with the opening of Trailside Transitional Housing.

BURNABY - Indigenous and non-Indigenous families and individuals, seniors and people living with disabilities will soon have access to more than 150 affordable rental homes in Burnaby.

SURREY - Young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness now have access to 30 affordable homes with supports as they move into a new transitional-housing building.

WILLIAMS LAKE - Seniors will soon have access to 36 affordable homes in Williams Lake as construction begins on Glen Arbor Phase II.

VICTORIA - More affordable rental homes are on the way for people in B.C. as the Province launches a three-year pilot of the new Secondary Suite Incentive Program.

KAMLOOPS - People experiencing homelessness in Kamloops will continue to have a safe place to stay with the extension of the former Stuart Wood School temporary shelter.

ELKFORD - Seniors and people living with disabilities in Elkford will soon have access to 25 affordable rental homes with construction underway on a new development.

SOOKE - Indigenous individuals and families living in Sooke will now have access to more below-market homes in the community with the opening of 2075 Drennan St.

LANGLEY - Proposals are being sought for eight pre-zoned housing sites on public lands that have been added to the BC Builds property list to fast-track more rental homes to be built for people with middle incomes in B.C.

NANAIMO - People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Nanaimo will have access to 51 new homes with 24/7 support services with the opening of a new supportive-housing building called Cornerstone.

ABBOTSFORD - People experiencing homelessness in Abbotsford will soon have access to more than 220 new shelter spaces and supportive homesas the Province and the City of Abbotsford formalize their commitment to provide rapid supports in the community.

VANCOUVER - Women and children leaving violence will soon have access to more housing as construction starts on Sylvia's Place, a second-stage transition home in Vancouver.

BURNABY - Construction is underway on two single-family homes that will provide housing for 14 people, including seniors, who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness and would benefit from an enhanced mental-health and physical health-care program.

KITIMAT - Parents and guardians will have access to more child care, and women and children leaving violence will now have access to 44 homes, as part of a new housing development opening in Kitimat.

CHILLIWACK - People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Chilliwack will soon have access to 73 temporary housing units through the Province's Homeless Encampment Action Response Temporary Housing (HEARTH) program.

NEW WESTMINSTER - People with low to moderate incomes will soon have access to 66 new affordable homes in New Westminster.

VICTORIA - Improvements to the Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters (SAFER) program and a one-time rental benefit of $430 will bring relief for families and seniors with low incomes who are receiving a rent subsidy through the Rental Assistance Program (RAP) and SAFER program.

WILLIAMS LAKE - People experiencing homelessness in Williams Lake will soon have access to 40 new shelter spaces as construction begins to repurpose the former Elks Hall into a year- round shelter.

PORT ALBERNI - Indigenous Peoples in the Alberni Valley will soon have access to 35 new homes as construction gets underway on a rental housing development in Port Alberni.

BC Housing is aware that Pathways Abilities Society has been ordered by the City of Kelowna to immediately begin a planned evacuation of Hadgraft Wilson Place due to safety concerns resulting from construction activity at the nearby UBC Okanagan site. This order affects approximately 84 people who are living in the 68-unit building, as well as their pets. All tenants are required to move out of the building by the afternoon of April 2.

COURTENAY - People experiencing homelessness in Courtenay may have access to additional support as the Province, through BC Housing, has purchased land for a proposed supportive housing and permanent overnight shelter.

LANGLEY - Families, seniors and individuals in the Township of Langley now have access to 98 new affordable rental homes with the opening of Jennie Gaglardi Place.

UPPER NICOLA - Upper Nicola Band families, elders and individuals will soon move into 26 new affordable rental homes with the opening of Síyáʔ Place on reserve land.

OKANAGAN FALLS - More than 580 new affordable homes are on the way for renters living in interior and northern B.C., through partnerships between the Province and local non-profit housing providers.

SAANICH - Nearly 870 new affordable homes are on the way for renters on Vancouver Island, through partnerships between the Province and local non-profit housing providers.

CHILLIWACK - Young adults and seniors in Chilliwack will soon have access to new affordable homes with the opening of the Paramount.
