J. A. Construction Ltd. (“JACL”) and Jasvir Gill (“Gill”), contrary to schedule 3 section 6(2) of the Homeowner Protection Act Regulation (the “Regulations”), regarding a new home in Surrey, B.C. (the “New Home”), for which the New Home was occupied as a rental unit, sold the New Home on, or about, June 18, 2013, without disclosing, in writing, to the purchaser of the New Home, the date on which the home warranty insurance expires.
J. Simons Management and Development Ltd. (“JSMDL”) and Jeffery Simons (“Simons”) constructed 20 new homes (collectively, the “New Homes”) contained within a multi-unit building in Vancouver, B.C.
Jagpal Development Ltd. (“JDL”), Navjote Singh Jagpal (“Navjote J.”), Navepal Singh Jagpal (“Navepal J.) and Randeep Johal (“Randeep J.”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), published information implying and suggesting that JDL, Navjote J., Navepal J., and/or Randeep J. is a licensed residential builder during the period of July 29, 2021, and March 23, 2022, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”).
Jagtar Randhawa (“J. Randhawa”), contrary to section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), constructed, or caused to have constructed, a new coach home in Abbotsford, BC (the “New Home”), without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance (“HWI”) provided by a warranty provider. James Latham (“Latham”) dba Capital City Construction (“CCC”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), published information implying and suggesting that Latham and/or CCC is a licensed residential builder during the period of, or about, January 29, 2021 and May 5, 2021, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder. Mehta”) (together, “the Mehtas”), contrary to section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), commenced or caused to have commenced construction on a new home in Surrey, B.C. (the “New Home”), on, or about, January 18, 2018, without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance (“HWI”) provided by a warranty provider. Jason Osborn (“Osborn”) contrary to subsections 20.1(1)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the "Act"), built a new home in Prince George, B.C., (the "New Home"), for which an Owner Builder Authorization (the "OBA")had been issued, and sold the New Home without having occupied the New Home for the 12-month period after the New Home was built.
