A training record is required for all types of CPD training. The material should show the training’s relevance to the construction industry. This could include:

  • Course or seminar objectives
  • Course outline or curriculum
  • Support materials that describe the course
  • Method of delivery, such as classroom, online or webinar
  • Documentation showing a nominee’s active engagement in research, plus a complete outline of the research
  • Research committee minutes

The documentation, which clearly identifies you as a student of the specified training, should include:

  • A description of the training
  • When the training took place
  • The organization delivering the training
  • Learning method
  • Number of hours
  • Confirmation that you attended

This documentation forms part of your CPD training record. It’s important you keep it for at least three years and make the record available if BC Housing asks for it.

Costs of CPD training vary depending on what you take. You’re responsible for all costs associated with CPD training, whether it’s formal or informal.
