Golden View Builders Ltd. (“GVB”) and Todagin Russell Hodson (“Hodson”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), published information implying and suggesting that GVB and/or Hodson is a licensed residential builder during the period of December 16, 2022, and December 27, 2023, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”). On December 27, 2023, BCH issued Compliance Order 23-0017 to GVB and Hodson directing that GVB and Hodson:
- immediately cease all signage, marketing, and other publications that imply, suggest, or hold out in any manner that either GVB or Hodson is a licensed residential builder; or
- immediately become a BCH LRB pursuant to section 14 of the Act.
GVB and Hodson were ordered to comply with Compliance Order 23-0017 by February 23, 2024.
