1170713 B.C. LTD. dba SJ Construction (“SJC”), James Scott Robertson (“Robertson”) and Sean Alexander Clarke (“Clarke”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), published information implying and suggesting that SJC, Robertson and/or Clarke is a licensed residential builder during the period of February 26, 2024, and April 3, 2024, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”). On April 3, 2024, BCH issued Compliance Order 24-0007 to SJC, Robertson and Clarke directing that SJC, Robertson and Clarke:
- immediately cease all signage, marketing, and other publications that imply, suggest, or hold out in any manner that either SJC, Robertson or Clarke is a licensed residential builder; or
- immediately become a BCH LRB pursuant to section 14 of the Act.
SJC, Robertson and Clarke were ordered to comply with Compliance Order 24-0007 by April 30, 2024. Complied.
