Aztec Developments Ltd (“Aztec”), Manjeet Singh Dhillon (“M. Dhillon”) and Gurnam Singh Dhillon (“G. Dhillon”), contrary to section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “ Act”), built 2 new homes in Surrey, B.C., (the “New Homes”) sometime between, June 21, 2010 and October 5, 2010, without the New Homes being covered by a policy of home warranty insurance. On May 29, 2012, the HPO issued Compliance Order 12-0020 to Aztec, M. Dhillon and G. Dhillon, directing that they obtain home warranty insurance for the New Homes pursuant to section 22 of the Act. Aztec, M. Dhillon and G. Dhillon were directed to comply with Compliance Order 12-0020 by June 29, 2012.
