Savinder Gill ("Gill"), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built a new home in Surrey, B.C., (the “New Home), during the period of May 2005 to July 2007, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being covered with home warranty insurance. On August 4, 2009, Compliance Order 09-0014 was issued by the HPO to Gill directing that Gill become an HPO LRB and obtain home warranty insurance for the New Home. On May 17, 2010, the HPO issued Amended Compliance Order 09-0014-1 to Gill providing a new date by which compliance with these directions must be achieved. All other directions contained in the Compliance Order 09-0014 remain unchanged.
