Abe Guenter (“Guenter”) built a new home in Fort St. James, B.C., (the “New Home”) sometime between August 2010 and August 2011, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being covered by a policy of home warranty insurance. On April 12, 2012, the HPO issued Compliance Order 12-0026 to Guenter, directing that Guenter:

Abraham David Henry Dyck (“A. Dyck”) and Marlene Dyck (“M. Dyck”)(together, “the Dycks”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built two new homes in Cawston, B.C. Adeline Stone

Adeline Stone (“Stone”), contrary to section 9(3) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), obstructed a Compliance Officer in the exercise of powers under section 9 of the Act, withheld or concealed a record relevant to an investigation regarding a new home in Osoyoos, BC (the “New Home”), for which an Owner Builder Authorization had been issued. On March 30, 2015, the Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) issued Compliance Order 15-0013 to Stone directing that Stone immediately:

Advanced Log Homes Ltd. (“ALHL”) and Jonathan Hessler (“J. Hessler”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built or caused to have built a new home in 100 Mile House, B.C. Alan Darcy Schaeffer (“A. Schaeffer”) and Katerina Schaeffer (“K. Schaeffer”) (together, “the Schaeffers”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built or caused to have built a new home in Cranbrook, B.C. (the “New Home”), during the period of, or about, June 16, 2015, and February 21, 2018, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance (“HWI”) provided by a warranty provider.

Alex King Charn Chang and Tricon Pacific Contracting Ltd.

Alex King Charn Chang (“Chang”) and Tricon Pacific Contracting Ltd. (“TPCL”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built or caused to have built two new homes in Vancouver, B.C. (the “New Homes”), during the period of, or about,  April 2010 and March 2012, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without any of the New Homes being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider.

Alvin James Eriksen

Alvin James Eriksen (“A. Eriksen”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), commenced construction on a new home in Krestova, BC (the “New Home”), sometime prior to June 24, 2014, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On November 3, 2014, the HPO issued Compliance Order 14-0061 to A. Eriksen directing that A. Eriksen:

Amorous Homes Ltd. and Robyn Elden Kelln

Amorous Homes Ltd. (“AHL”) and Robyn Elden Kelln (“R. E. Kelln”), contrary to section 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built 3 new homes on Salt Spring Island, B.C., and another new home in Cedar, B.C. (collectively, the “New Homes”), between the period of, or about, February 3, 2011, and February 28, 2011, without any of the New Homes being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. Amos David Hunter (“Hunter”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), commenced or caused to have commenced construction on a new home in Telkwa, BC (the “New Home”), sometime between May 3, 2018 and May 18, 2023, without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance (“HWI”) provided by a warranty provider. On August 29, 2023, BCH issued Compliance Order 23-0015 to Hunter directing that Hunter:

(the “New Home”), in, or about, 2013, and continued construction on the New Home, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider.

Andrea Hook, Lawrence Hook and Hook & Hook Renovations and Design Inc.

Andrea Hook (“A. Hook”), Lawrence Hook (“L. Hook”) and Hook & Hook Renovations and Design Inc. (“HHRD”), contrary to section 14(5)(b) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), published information implying and suggesting that either A. Hook, L. Hook or HHRD is a Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”), and contrary to section 14(1) of the Act, conducted the business of a residential builder without being a BC Housing (“BCH”) LRB between the period of, or about, September 5, 2019 and July 22, 2020, regarding a new home in North Saanich, BC (the “New Home”).

Andreas Urich (“Urich”), contrary to sections 14(1) and 22(1) of the Homeowner Protection Act (the “Act”), built a new home in Fort St. John, B.C. (the “New Home”), between the period of, or about, July 2007 and March 2009, without being a Homeowner Protection Office (“HPO”) Licensed Residential Builder (“LRB”) and without the New Home being registered for coverage by home warranty insurance provided by a warranty provider. On June 27, 2016, the HPO issued Compliance Order 16-0023 to Urich directing that Urich:
